McNally Smith College of Music in St. Paul, Minnesota is introducing a new Hip-Hop Studies Diploma program, which will start with the September, 2009 semester.   The program, which spans three semesters and can be completed in one calendar year, will be the nation's fist accredited, college-level diploma.   The courses will be taught by "leading hip-hop practitioners, including rapper/activist Toki Wright, who is coordinator of the new degree program, as well as an instructor.  ...(read more)
